Joanita Kalibala is the Events and Communications Manager at the Geneva Trade Platform. She leads the design and delivery of international policy conferences, dialogues, workshops, and training events, bringing together policymakers, academics, practitioners, and other stakeholders from around the world.

With over five years of experience managing high-level international events, Joanita oversees communications, visual design, and stakeholder engagement, helping position the Geneva Trade Platform as a trusted convening space for dialogue on global trade issues. Her work spans event strategy and logistics, digital communications, content production, moderation, and partner engagement.

Joanita began her career conducting research in Myanmar after completing her studies in International Relations. She is passionate about creating engaging and inclusive event experiences that foster meaningful exchange and collaboration across sectors and disciplines.
