About Geneva Trade Week (GTW) 2026

Geneva Trade Week brings you exciting sessions both as part of the WTO Public Forum formal program and on its margins.

This year, we're honored to be formal parters of the Public Forum and in charge of the Curated Conversations series - 48 closed door invitation-only roundtable discussions in the WTO's Salon des Pas Pedue on the 16th and 17th of September.

Register for WTO Public forum

Attendance at the WTO Public Forum requires registration in advance with the WTO Secretariat via the link below. Registration for a Curated Conversations session does not constitute registration for the WTO Public Forum, and you will need both to participate.

Frequently
Asked Questions

How will registration work?

Geneva Trade Week will feature a range of different events, and registration will be on a per-event basis. For events that are open to the public and/or open to hybrid participation, registration links will be published here on the website and shared across our mailing list, socials and on the Beyond Trade Network.

The Curated Conversations series will be invitation-only and participation will be at the discretion of the individual session organizers. Their contact details for invitation inquiries will be published alongside the full agenda. Participation at any event within the WTO will require that you be registered for the WTO Public Forum. Invitation to participate in a Curated Conversations session does not constitute Public Forum registration, and this must be done seperately.

Where will GTW take place?

Geneva Trade Week events are typically spread between the Geneva Graduate Institute, the Villa Barton and the WTO headquarters. All Curated Conversations events will take place inside the WTO within the rooms off the Salon Pas Perdus on the 16th and 17th of September.

How will session selection work?

All session proposals submitted via the forum within the application window will be carefully reviewed by the Geneva Trade Platform team, who will make the final decision on the final 48 sessions to take place within Curated Conversations. The GTP decision will be final, unless a selected panel withdraws their proposal.

To ensure ample time for session planning and the issuing of invitations, we hope to release the final list of sessions within three weeks or less of the proposal window closing.

What criteria will be used to select sessions?

The primary objective of the Curated Conersations series is to foster genuinely useful, engaging and interactive discussions among the trade policy stakeholders gathered in Geneva for the Public Forum. We will also be looking to promote and showcase the expertise and diversity of international Geneva, providing spaces for those gathered from overseas to engage with Geneva institutions, think tanks and other stakeholders.

Finally, our goal will be to offer a diverse program that covers a broad range of topics of interest to the trade policy community. We will aim to avoid excessive duplication and may in some cases ask session proposing organizations with similar ideas to join forces and merge their proposals into a co-organized session.

Can sessions be hybrid or include virtual participants?

Curated Conversations are intended to be in-person only, closed door sessions to maximally promote candid conversation and genuine exchanges. For this and for technical reasons, hybrid participation will not be possible.

Can an organization submit multiple Curated Conversations proposals?

Yes, you or your organization may submit multiple proposals and multiple proposals from one organization may be selected.
