Mona Haddad is the Global Director for Trade, Investment and Competitiveness at the World Bank. Since joining the Bank in 1992, she has worked in both global practices and in operations, including in South Asia and East Asia.  In her more recent assignments, Ms. Haddad was Manager of the global Trade unit, and Manager of the Trade and Competitiveness unit in the East Asia Region at the World Bank, and Director of the Country Economics department at the International Finance Corporation.  Throughout her career she worked on trade policy, export competitiveness, regional integration, and investment climate. Ms. Haddad holds a Ph.D. in Economics from the George Washington University.
